Rose was an Oscar-winning actor who played Lorrell on the screen in Dreamgirls. Anika Noni (born September 6 in 1972) is a singer as well as an American actor. The most famous role she has played is as Tiana, Disney's first African American princess from The Princess and the Frog (2009). Disney Legends named her as the 2011's most popular character. The actress is also known for her performances as Lorrell in Dreamgirls which was which was an Academy Award winning film (2006) and LaVerne in Starz's Power. The actress has also received recognition by her stage performances which include her lead roles as Caroline or Change Caroline or Change (2004) on Broadway for which she received the Tony Award was won for Best actress in a Musical.
